About Course

This course is designed to introduce students to the various stages and processes involved in the production of a movie. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises, students will learn about scriptwriting, pre-production planning, shooting, and post-production work.

The course will cover topics such as location scouting, casting actors, budgeting and financing, and the role of the director and crew in achieving the desired visual and storytelling goals. Students will also learn about the various tasks involved in post-production, including editing, color grading, and sound design.

In addition, the course will explore the various ways in which movies are exhibited and distributed, including traditional theaters, streaming platforms, and film festivals. Students will also learn about the business side of movie distribution, including marketing and distribution deals.

Introduction To Movie Production
This course is designed to provide a foundational understanding of the movie production process. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises, students will learn about the different stages of movie production, including development, pre-production, production, and post-production. Students will also be introduced to the various roles involved in movie production, including the director, producer, and crew. The course will cover topics such as scriptwriting, location scouting, casting actors, and budgeting and financing. In addition, students will learn about the importance of post-production tasks such as editing, color grading, and sound design. Pre-Production

Students will learn about set design and construction, including how to create believable and functional sets that support the story and characters. They will also learn about lighting, including how to use lighting to set the mood and create visual interest. Additionally, students will learn about camera operation, including how to use different camera angles, movements, and lenses to tell the story. They will also learn about sound recording, including how to capture and edit dialogue, sound effects, and music.

Post-Production
Post-Production is the phase of movie making where the raw footage from the production phase is transformed into a final film. In this course, students will learn the key skills and techniques needed to effectively execute the post-production phase of a movie. Students will learn about editing, including how to cut and assemble raw footage into a cohesive and compelling story. They will also learn about sound design, including how to create and mix sound effects and music to enhance the story. Distribution and Exhibition is the final phase of movie making, where the completed film is released to the public. Students will learn about distribution deals, including how to negotiate and secure distribution agreements with studios, streaming platforms, and other distribution outlets. Movie Production in Action is a hands-on course that takes students through the entire process of making a movie, from pre-production to distribution and exhibition. In this course, students will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of movie production, including script development, budgeting, casting, set design, lighting, camera operation, sound recording, editing, sound design, visual effects, color grading, and marketing. Throughout the course, students will work in teams to develop and produce a short film, learning the skills and techniques needed to successfully bring a movie from concept to screen.
