Description
This course is designed to introduce students to the various stages and processes involved in the production of a movie. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises, students will learn about scriptwriting, pre-production planning, shooting, and post-production work.
The course will cover topics such as location scouting, casting actors, budgeting and financing, and the role of the director and crew in achieving the desired visual and storytelling goals. Students will also learn about the various tasks involved in post-production, including editing, color grading, and sound design.
In addition, the course will explore the various ways in which movies are exhibited and distributed, including traditional theaters, streaming platforms, and film festivals. Students will also learn about the business side of movie distribution, including marketing and distribution deals.
